86765 taxpayers file income tax returns in RTO Multan

MULTAN: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office (RTO) Multan observed handsome jump in the filing of tax returns from taxpayers.

According to details, number of taxpayers has crossed almost 86000 throughout the ninth month of 2018-19. The Regional Tax Office Multan has taken special initiatives to attract taxpayers through awareness campaign in the jurisdiction where tax authorities convince taxpayers for filing of their income tax returns and identify potential taxpayers to enhance tax base.

Almost 86765 taxpayers have filed their income tax returns in the Regional Tax Office Multan so far. About 83,000 people have filed their income tax returns electronically while Regional Tax Office Multan collected almost 4751 income tax returns manually from taxpayers before the deadline of Federal Board of Revenue.

The Federal Board of Revenue Regional Tax authorities received almost 64986 tax returns during corresponding fiscal year 2017-18. The Regional Tax Office has made almost 21765 excess income tax returns during ongoing economic year 2018-19.

New taxpayers have filed their income tax returns in the Regional Tax Office before the 30th March 2019. Almost 30% noteworthy increase in filing of tax returns from individuals has been observed in Regional Tax Office Multan during current economic year.

The Federal Board of Revenue Regional Tax Office Multan has done handsome efforts to educate taxpayers for filing of tax returns and their effort are giving rewarding results in the boost of taxpayers.
