Faisalabad Adjudication decides 16 seizure cases worth Rs 42.184m

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Asma Hameed decided 12 seizure cases forwarded by Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and Customs Intelligence and Investigation in their various anti-smuggling activities.

These cases were related to evasion of customs duty to the tune of Rs7.015 million during March. These seizure cases included foreign origin cloth vehicles tyres auto parts and miscellaneous goods.

Whereas additional Collector Asma Hameed settled different seizure cases in favor of tax department and issued Order in Originals (ONO) in favour of taxpayers after adjudication process.

Furthermore Collector Muhammad Adnan Akram decided 4 seizure cases involving Rs 35.169 million available for hearing in the Collectorate.

Due to recent reshuffling in the Collectorate hearing of seizure cases facing unnecessary delay.
