Nation celebrating Quaid-i-Azam’s 138th birth anniversary today

KARACHI: The Pakistani nation is paying tribute to the Father of nation, Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, on his 138 birth anniversary today (December 25) with respect and dignity.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah was born on 25th December 1876 and he was also Pakistan’s first Governor General.

In 1913, he joined the Muslim League which had been formed to stand up for the rights of Indian Muslims and he became its president in 1916.

Today is a national holiday. Television and radio channels will air especial documentaries related to the father of nation’s sayings and quotes.

On his tomb, change of the guards ceremony was also held in Karachi in which Pakistan Military Academy Kakul’s guards took charge of the security of the tomb and special prayers were sought to God. The tomb will be open for the public after 1:30 PM.
