15kg gold found at Dhaka airport

Customs intelligence recovered 48 gold bars, weighing over 15 kilogrammes, at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in Dhaka during the wee hours of today.

Tipped-off, a team of the Customs intelligence recovered the gold bars beside the gents’ washroom in the boarding bridge area of the airport around 1:30am, Dr Shahidul Islam, director general of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID), told The Daily Star.
