Chairman FBR briefs officers of 25th SMC about policies to overcome systemic tax impediments

ISLAMABAD: The trainee officers of 25th Senior Management Course, National Management College, Lahore visited FBR on Wednesday and got a detailed briefing on the functioning and performance of Federal Board of Revenue.

Later, the participants were given a detailed presentation by Member, Facilitation and Taxpayers Education (FATE) Mustafa Sajjad Hassan who briefed about the functioning of FBR and highlighted the achievements and performance of the institution.

FBR Chairman Mohammad Jehanzeb Khan in his remarks welcomed the trainee officers and answered their queries. The Chairman FBR explained about the tax policies being adopted by the present Government to broaden the tax net and to overcome systemic tax impediments. He further talked about the Integrity and Performance Management Unit (IPMU) being set up by FBR and highlighted the efforts of FBR to expose benami transactions.

The director National Management College in his concluding remarks appreciated the FBR for holding an interactive session for the trainee officers and added that the trainee officers of 25th Senior Management Course were greatly enlightened about FBR’s functioning through this session.

In the end, shields were exchanged as a memento which was followed by a group photograph of all the participants with FBR chairman.
