Shipping activity at Port Qasim on April 29

KARACHI: Three ships Serene Juniper, Fortitude and Tiger Glory scheduled to load/offload cement, chemicals and palm oil were allotted berths at Multi-Purpose Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively.

While four more ships, CPO Hamburg, Crimson Kingdon, White Purl, and BW GDF Suze Brussel carrying Containers, Soya bean, LPG and LNG also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.

A total of nine ships were occupying PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Coal, Chemicals, Canola deeds and Palm oil.

Out of them, two container ships, Safmarine Ngami ad CMA CGM Rigolette sailed out to sea on Monday morning and three more ships, Fortitude, Pavo Bright and Forest Park are expected to sail on the same day in the afternoon respectively.

A cargo volume of 137,478 tonnes, comprising 80,136 tonnes imports cargo and 57,342 tonnes export cargo, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 3,539 Containers (TEUs), (521 TEUs imports and 3,018 TEUs exports) was handled at the Port during the last 24 hours.

Four ships, CPO Hamburg, Pegasus, Kamila Kosan and BW GDF Suez Brussel carrying Containers, Palm oil, Chemicals and LNG are expected to take berths at QICT, LCT, EVTL and EETL respectively on Monday.

While two more ships APL New York and Maersk Setetar withContainers are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Tuesday.
