Multan Customs collects Rs1985.941m as petroleum development levy in April

MULTAN: The Customs Collectorate has collected Rs1985.941 million under the head of petroleum development levy (PDL) during the month of April 2018-19.

According to the details, Multan Customs witnessed boost in the collection of petroleum development levy during April 2018-19.Multan Customs collected petroleum development levy from oil marketing Companies on the clearance of ex-bonding of high speed diesel shipments.

It is important to mention here that the Collectorate received 97 percent of its revenue collection through the clearance of High Speed Diesel and other petroleum products from the PARCO oil refinery located in the area of Mehmood Kot.

The collectorate collected petroleum development levy of worth Rs985.367 million in the corresponding period of April 2017-18. Petroleum development levy collection has been boosted in the Collectorate in last few months due to increase in taxes. Multan Customs collected Petroleum development levy of worth Rs14015.012 million from the clearance of High Speed Diesel in first ten months of existing economic year.

The Collectorate has observed handsome enhancement in the collection of petroleum development levy in the first ten months of current fiscal year due to rise in taxes on High Speed Diesel.
