MELBOURNE : Australia’s Pilbara Ports Authority (PPA) said on Wednesday that throughput slipped 1 percent in April from year earlier.
April’s throughput was 58.8 million tonnes, the PPA said in a statement.
Iron ore exports from Port Hedland were 41.8 million tonnes, the statement said. That is up 15 percent from March when iron ore shipments from Australia were disrupted due to the impact of Cyclone Veronica.
