Sources informed Customs Today that the performance of the Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) of the Directorate General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation may affect as it has no space left in its warehouse located in Rasheedabad, SITE area to keep the seized goods.

The sources revealed this scribe that the ASO-DIT has seized a smuggled  consignment during the week, but the inventory of the confiscated smuggled consignment has not yet prepared due to lack of space in DIT warehouse.

The sources further disclosed that the warehouse was completely filled with the goods seized by the ASO during different raids.

“The prevailing situation will certainly put a negative impact on the performance of ASO- DIT as it is reluctant to conduct any fresh anti-smuggling raid keeping the overflow site of the DIT warehouse,” sources added.

The sources further urged the authorities concerned of the Directorate General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation to auction the confiscated goods.
