Multan Customs collects Rs2865.494m as Petroleum Development Levy in May

MULTAN: The Customs Collectorate has collected Rs2865.494 million under the head of Petroleum Development Levy (PDL) for the month of May 2018-19.

According to details, Multan Customs collected petroleum development levy from oil marketing companies on the clearance of ex-bonding of high speed diesel (HSD) shipments from Multan Dry Port. The Collectorate collected all taxes from oil marketing companies including customs duty, sales tax, federal excise duty, income tax, additional sales taxes, Petroleum Development Levy from oil marketing companies at the time of ex-bonding clearance from Multan Dry Port.

The Collectorate o received 97 percent of its revenue collection through the clearance of High Speed Diesel and other petroleum products from the PARCO oil refinery of Mahmood Kot located in the jurisdiction.

The Collectorate made collection of Rs2865.494 million from the clearance of High Speed Diesel in wake of Petroleum Development Levy during May 2018-19.

The Collectorate collected Rs1518.829 million during the corresponding period of May 2017-18. Multan Customs has observed boost in the collection of Petroleum Development Levy. It made almost Collection of Rs16880.506 million from July to May in economic year 2018-19.
