Chrysanthemum Flowers Show 2014: CMH Rawalpindi secures first position

ISLAMABAD: Flowers are the most attractive gift of nature, which make life of individuals charming and depict the aesthetic sense of the peope.

Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Maroof Afzal said this while addressing the prize distribution ceremony of Chrysanthemum Flowers and Autumn Flowers Show – 2014, organised by CDA in collaboration with Islamabad Horticulture Society (IHS).

On this occasion, Member Administration and Estate, Amer Ali Ahmed, President Islamabad Horticulture Society, Mansoor Ahmed Khan, office-bearers of Islamabad Horticulture Society, officers of environment wing of CDA and people from different walks of life were also present.

Maroof Afzal said that plantation of flowers and their proper care was the beautiful aspect of life. He greeted the winners of the flowers exhibition and said that such positive activities not only provided a rich healthy entertainment opportunity to the people but also provided a chance to the lovers of flowers to witness the rare species of flowers.

The chairman CDA also distributed prizes among the winners of Chrysanthemum Flowers Show – 2014. In large category of flowers show, CMH Rawalpindi secured the first position, while CDA stood second. In small category of flowers show, Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) achieved the first prize. In Hotels and Clubs category, Islamabad Club was awarded with the first prize and Pakistan Navy got the second prize.
