PESHAWAR: Collectorate of Customs Appraisement Collector Ihsan Ali Shah lauded changes in customs rules in budget recommendations and directed customs authorities to work hard for achievement of next year’s financial goals.
Collector Ihsan Ali Shah stressed upon the need to implement Customs regulations during budget FY 2019-20.
He presided over a meeting in Customs House which was also attended by additional collectors, deputy collectors, assistant collectors, superintendents, officers of border customs stations and other responsible officials of Collectorate of Appraisement Peshawar.
Ihsan Ali Shah informed that new changes in section 32-C of the Customs Act 1969 have been made in order to control money laundering. The amended section 32-C will control exported goods mainly money across the border. The collector said that from July 1, 2019, the customs force will implement the new amended customs act for which preparations have been carried out.
Ihsan ali Shah further said that the customs officials must stick to sections 25 of Customs act and provide assistance to the business community.
Ihsan Ali Shah further said that the Collectorate of Appraisment is ready to increase the net revenue collection by performing exceptionally and helping the business community.
