WeBOC token to be charged Rs500 instead of Rs250 from July 1

KARACHI:  Collecorate of Customs Appraisement East deputy collector issued public notice under Section 111 (b) of the Customs Act, 1969.

The notice stated that importers who failed to ex-bond the goods under prescribed time as envisaged under Section 98 of the Customs Act, 1969 and violated Section 86 and 98 of the Customs Act, 1979 are hereby required to pay the full amount of duty and taxes chargeable on such goods together with surcharge and other charges in respect of them, failing which the will be put in public auction under Section 112 of the Customs Act, 1969.

It is further informed that the post-dated cheaques secured under Section 112 (I) ibid, in case of non-encashment of PDC subsequent action will be taken i.e. detain the goods whether lying in any warehouse or freshly imported anywhere.
