Multan RTO collects Rs443.505m under Assets Declaration Scheme so far

MULTAN: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office (RTO) collected Rs 443.505 million taxes from 1217 people under Assets Declaration Scheme so far.

The RTO managed to convince large number of people to declare their undeclared assets and avoid any complications through asset declaration scheme. The FBR launched Assets Declaration Scheme by giving opportunity to those who had benami accounts and properties to avoid any legal actions.

The RTO has run massive awareness campaigns to attract public in the assets scheme in the jurisdiction by highlighting benefits of assets declaration scheme. Tax authorities have also conducted different awareness seminars in the markets and displayed banners to aware people.

The RTO has also established facilitation cell for Assets Declaration Scheme for the general public and business community to facilitate them and bringing them in the tax net of Federal Board of Revenue.

Sources told Customs Today that more than 600 individuals availed benefit of Assets Declaration Scheme in the jurisdiction so far by declaring their undeclared assets and wealth.

Tax authorities collected Rs443.505 taxes from 1217 people and Regional Tax Office Multan is expecting that large number of people will avail facility of the scheme by declaring undeclared assets in the next days.
