Faisalabad ASO seizes NDP vehicles & goods worth Rs191.5m

FAISALABAD: The Customs Anti-smuggling Organization (ASO) has seized non-customs duty paid vehicles and goods worth Rs191.5 million in their different anti-smuggling operations during the month of June 2019.

According to details Anti-Smuggling Organization carried out various anti-smuggling operations in the region on the directives of Collector Mirza Mubashir Baig to thwart smuggling of goods and non customs paid (NDP) vehicles. Faisalabad Customs ASO detected 35 seizure cases of smuggling during the month of June.

Anti Smuggling Organization car cell impounded 30 vehicles during their massive crackdown against smuggled vehicles in their jurisdiction on the basis of received information. Anti-Smuggling Organization conducted different anti-smuggling operations in widely range districts including Faisalabad Jhang Mianwali and Sargodha.

These impounded vehicles were of different models and made ups including Toyota Land Cruiser, Mitsubishi Pajero, Toyota Vitz, Suzuki Vitara, Toyota Civic, Mercedez Benz, Toyota Hilux, Surf and others.

Anti Smuggling Organization also intercepted foreign origin High Speed Diesel HSD, betel nuts smuggled cloth and auto parts throughout their actions.
