Quetta ASO seals godowns of Haji Sadiq in murder case of DC Abdul Qadoos

QUETTA: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) of customs Quetta raided and sealed the godowns of arrested accused in murder case of Deputy Collector Dr. Abdul Qadoos.

Pursuing the direction of Chief Collector Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhary anti -smuggling squad started crackdown and arrested Abdul Sadiq Achakzai and his brothers who were arrested after few days of murder of Customs Quetta Deputy Collector Abdul Qadoos Shaikh.

The martyred Deputy Collector Qadoos was on his way to the MCC Quetta after completing a seizure of smuggled goods when he was attacked by 10 masked armed men where he sustained serious injuries. Unfortunately Qadoos succumbed to his injuries and passed away after two days.

The sources of MCC Quetta informed that pursuing the directions of Chief Collector Baluchistan the ASO squad with assistance of Balochistan Levies Force, FC (frontier constabulary) and local police conducted a crackdown on godowns of renowned arrested smuggler of contraband goods Abdul Sadiq Achakzai and his relatives at Saryab road Quetta and huge quantity of smuggled goods was also seized.

The seized goods were comprised foreign origin betel nuts, betel nuts cutting machines, Pan Prag, faked GDs along with other documents relating with transportation. The ASO registered the case and took the goods in custody whereas using the powers of Customs Act 1969 the ASO Quetta sealed the godowns. Further investigation in case is stile underway.
