Multan Customs facilitating Hajj pilgrims at Multan International Airport

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs made special arrangements to facilitate Hajj pilgrims at the Multan International Airport.

The Customs staff has been taking special measures for Hajj operations at Multan International Airport for quality facilitation.  Almost 9500 passengers will fly from Multan International Airport to Madina and Jeddah in ongoing Hajj operation. As many as 40 different flights will fly from Multan International Airport and Hajj operation was begin two ago. Collector Customs Ambreen Ahmad Tarar has deployed more than 50 customs employees at Multan International Airport to facilitate Pilgrims in this regard.

Assistant Collector Syed Jalal Haider Zaidi is performing Hajj Operation duties at Multan airport and Deputy Collector Saqibur Rehman and Assistant Collector Muhammad Fahad Jamil are also performing responsibilities in different shifts. Collector Ambreen Ahmad Tarar directed Multan Customs officers to ensure proper scanning of every pilgrim in order to avoid any sort of smuggling from Multan International Airport.

Collector Ambreen Ahmad Tarar has also conducted surprise visits at Multan International Airport in order to check scrutiny and arrangements from Customs staff during Haj operations. Multan Customs and Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) have made comprehensive examination of luggage of passengers in order to prevent any sort of smuggling from Multan International Airport.

Customs staff has also increased vigilance of passenger luggage in order to curtail smuggling from Multan airport. The Haj operation of Pilgrims for their departure from Multan International Airport to Saudi Arabia will continue till August 5 of next month.
