Customs Central Region collects Rs4841m customs duty in July

LAHORE: The Customs Central Region collected Rs 4841 million under the head of customs duty during the month of July 2019 against Rs 7355 million collected during the same month of July last year.

According to statistics available with Customs Today, Collectorate of Customs Appraisement collected Rs2449.54 million during the period under review against Rs3845 million collected during the same period last year.

Collectorate of Customs Preventive on the other hand collected Rs 1761 million under the head of customs duty in the period under review against collection of Rs 1789 million during previous fiscal year.

Customs Multan Collectorate  collected Rs 463 million in July 2019 against Rs 31 million collected in the same period last financial year.

The Faisalabad Collectorate collected Rs1690 million during July 2019 against Rs169 million collected in July 2018.

The Central Region collectively posted total collection of Rs 4841 million during the month of July 2019.

It is necessary to mention here that Chief Collector Customs Central Region Zeba Hai Azhar adopted a comprehensive strategy to enhance revenue collection in the region.
