Multan Customs recovers silver biscuits from airport

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs team deputed at Multan International Airport recovered five silver biscuit from the luggage of passenger and after verification cleared the passenger.

According to details, Multan Customs authorities intercepted a passenger at Multan International Airport during examination of luggage. A customs team was conducting their routine examination scanning at departure lounge where they found five silver biscuits and bracelets from hand bags of a passenger.

Customs team was told that the said passenger was going to Jeddah from Multan International Airport through flight no: 761 and passenger was identified as Muhammad Samiullah. Multan Customs recovered silver biscuits and handed over passenger to Airport Security Force which interrogate him about silver biscuits. Said passenger informed that silver biscuits were belonged to his travel agent Chaudhry Naeem and who asked him to deliver in Jeddah. Airport Security Force doubts that recovered biscuits were Platinum white gold and sample was sent for chemical examination to ascertain about them.

Passenger was cleared and allowed to fly abroad after initial investigation but silver biscuits were taken into custody for further examination.

It is pertinent to mention here that Multan Customs staff has taken special measures to prevent any sort of smuggling from Multan International Airport. Further investigations are still under process regarding biscuits.
