Multan Customs decides 56 seizure cases worth Rs.207.361m

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication decided 56 seizure cases of worth Rs207.361 million during July 2019-20.

According to details, Deputy Collector has finalized 22 seizure cases of worth Rs12.835 million during the month of July. There were 41 fresh seizure cases of worth Rs.20.013 million added in the court of deputy collector for legal trial.

Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication has decided 22 seizure cases in the favour of department and two cases were decided in the favour of taxpayer in July after completion of their hearing. There are 35 pending seizure cases worth Rs18.515 million pending in the Customs Adjudication for final verdict after the completion of trial.

Additional Collector Talib Hussain has decided 32 various seizure cases of worth Rs.62.857 million during period of July. Additional Collector Talib decided one seizure case in the favour of taxpayer out of 32 after trial. These concluded seizure cases include non-customs paid vehicles and auto parts formed by Customs Intelligence and Anti-smuggling Organization in their different actions. Almost 36 new seizure cases of worth Rs.60.450 million has been added for trial in the court of Customs Adjudication during July.

Collector Adjudication Customs Dr. Muhammad Adnan Akram has finalized four seizure case of worth Rs.131.679 million after its proceedings. All cases of Collector were decided in the favour of department after trial. There were four new seizure cases of worth Rs49.759 million added in the Customs Adjudication for hearing in July.
