MULTAN: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office (RTO) is facing issues in filing wealth returns due to appearance of technical bugs in the column code 7014.

The Federal Board of Revenue has launched a facility for taxpayers to file their tax returns online through IRIS system throughout the country including Regional tax Office Multan. But IRIS system module is facing serious bug in filing wealth statement for taxpayers due to technical fault in it from last two days. This column is provided under SRO 1012(I)/2018 dated 17/08/2018 for tax year 2018 but it is not available in wealth statement module of tax year 2018 in IRIS and due to this technical issue wealth statements are  not reconciled. Tax consultant told Customs today that Federal Board of Revenue should upgrade their software in order to facilitate taxpayers and it creates hardship for taxpayers in filing wealth taxes and appealed from member IT FBR to remove technical bug immediately for smooth facilitation of filing tax returns.
