The second Port of Colombo Awards Night organized by Sri Lanka Ports Authority, in collaboration with the Jaya Container Terminal (JCT), South Asia Gateway Terminals (SAGT) and the Colombo International Container Terminals(CICT) will be held on the 30th of August 2019 at the Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo.
The Port of Colombo Awards 2019 will felicitate the main line operators and feeder operators, recognizing their contributions to the Port of Colombo.
At the ceremony, awards will be presented to those who have contributed to the development of the port sector. The awards are based on operations by five main lines and five feeder services.
At present, 22 main lines and eight feeder services are engaged with the Port of Colombo for container operations.
According to internationally recognized global ranking indexes, the Port of Colombo is positioned as the world’s 22nd best container port and the 13th best connectivity port in the world at present.
