Multan Dry Port collects Rs5379.602m during two months of FY2019-20

MULTAN: Dry Port Multan collected revenue of Rs5379.602 million during first two months of current economic year 2019-20.

According to details, Multan Dry Port Jurisdiction has been changed after the formation of Collectorate of Appraisement Faisalabad and Multan Dry Port was working under the jurisdiction of Collectorate of Appraisement Faisalabad. Multan Dry Port was working under Multan Collectorate before the change of jurisdiction. Multan Dry Port is one of the vital clearing stations for the importers of South Punjab and its adjoining areas. Multan Dry Port Collected customs duty (CD), sales tax (ST), federal excise duty (FED) and withholding tax (WHT) for the on-going year 2019-20.

Multan Dry Port has collected Rs1765.451 million under the head of customs duty from (July- August) 2019-20 and it made collection of Rs1302.327 million from import clearance of shipments during August. It made collection of Rs3562.640 million in wake of Sales taxes in first two months of on-going economic year 2019-20 from the clearances of consignments.

It collected almost Rs25.802 million from federal excise duty at Multan Dry Port. Multan Dry Port has collected Rs24.494 million under the head of income tax during July and August of on-going fiscal year 2019-20 .It collected Customs duty, Sales tax, Import duty and Federal Excise duty from importers at the time of clearance.

Multan Dry Port has also collected additional sales tax of Rs1.215 million in the first two months of fiscal year 2019-20.
