Appraisement West submits FIR against CPF staff involved in liquor stolen case

KARACHI: The Customs Court directed investigation officer of Customs Collectorate of Appraisement West to complete investigation and submit charge sheet against staff of CPF Bond Muripur who are alleged involved in stolen of foreign origin liquor form CPF Warehouse.

On September 21, 2019, investigation officer submitted first information report (FIR) against suspects namely Muhammad Younus son of Saadullah Khan, Ghulam son of Ali Muhammad, Momin Khan son of Sadbar Khan, Inayatullah Khan son of Badshah Khan, Habib-Ur-Rehman son of Abdul Rehman, Sher Wali son of Duri Khan, Sohail Ahmed son of Azhar Hussain (all accused are Chowkidar at CPF Bond Muripur, Karachi.

He submits that an incident was reported that foreign origin liquor have been found missing from CPF Warehouse, and same stock has been recovered from an employee of CPF namely Muhammad Younus and during the investigation, he admitted that the said liquor was stolen from CPF with the connivance of other employee/ chowkidars.

Investigation officer further stated that aforesaid facts revealed that the above accused persons and others aides, abettors and beneficiaries, fraudulently removed the state owned property from CPF Warehouse and punitive action for which is envisaged at Clauses (59) and (82) of Section 156 (1) of the Customs Act 1969.

After the hearing court taken FIR into court record and directed investigation officer to complete investigation and submit charge sheet on next date of hearing against them.
