Member Customs Jawwad Agha visits MCC Lahore to review performance

LAHORE: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Member Customs (Operations), Dr. Jawwad Uwais Agha arrived in Lahore today (Thursday) and will hold meeting with Chief Collector Zeba Hai Azhar to review performance of the Customs Central Region.

During his visit to Multan, Member Customs will hold meeting with collector Customs Preventive at Collectorate of Customs.  He will also address a seminar on “Customs 5 Years Strategic Plan” tomorrow.

Member Customs will also preside over performance evaluation meeting with chief collectors of (Enforcement/Appraisement) and collectors, Central Region, Customs House.

He will also review revenue collection measures of all the Collectorate falling under the jurisdiction of Customs Central Region. He will leave for Islamabad on Saturday September 28, 2019.

Sources told that Customs Central Region adopted a comprehensive strategy to enhance revenue collection measures and there is a significant improvement being witnessed in Customs Appraisement and Customs Preventive performance due to effective measures.
