Multan Preventive issues attachment warrant against M/s Al-Anfal Trust

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Preventive issued attachment warrant against M/s Al-Anfal Trust for recovery of Rs400,000 in two cases.

According to the details,  Collectorate of Customs Preventive has issued several recovery notices to M/s Al-Anfal Trust (Regd) located on Main Boulevard near Adil Hospital Defence Lahore Cantonment for payment of dues and taxes which had been pending from them after the verdict of Customs Adjudication.

The recovery department of Multan Customs had intimated the said defaulter’s couple of times for the payments of their due taxes but they have not replied. Deputy Collector Maqbool Ahmad Baloch who is also recovery officer has decided to attach their bank accounts of the defaulter in order to recover the pending dues of Multan Customs after their unsupportive response  for due payment .

Multan Customs Adjudication has imposed fine on accused M/s Al-Anfal Trust (Regd) for selling two ambulances and said ambulances were purchased under special tax exemptions for the welfare trust. Customs Adjudication has directed them to deposit fine of Rs2,00,000 each in both cases as penalty but they have deposited said amount.

Therefore, Multan Customs Preventive Department has initiated stern action against them to recover their pending dues and attached the Faisal bank Mall Road Branch account no.011265583 of defaulter M/s Al-Anfal Trust (Regd) by taking action for recovery of default amount under section 202 of Customs Act 1969 with recovery 2001.Multan Customs has requested State Bank of Pakistan to request the concerned bank for compliance.
