Multan Preventive generates Rs3.97m through auction of vehicles

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Preventive generated Rs3.97 million from the second auction of confiscated vehicles and miscellaneous goods.

According to details, Customs Preventive  conducted second auction for the month of November and the Collectorate has offered 10 different non-customs paid vehicles including Mercedes Benz, Suzuki Alto, Toyota Passo , Toyota Hilux Surf, Honda Fit ,Honda Civic Daihatsu Coure ,Honda Fit and others  after the approval of Federal Board of Revenue for auction.

Only three vehicles including Mercedez Benz and two Suzuki Alto vehicles were successfully sold out in Rs3.97 million during auction. Remaining seven different vehicles were rejected due to fewer prices offered in the auction

Multan Customs also offered 22 various lots of foreign origin 440 rolls of BOPP film rolls (plain/printed),cylinder engine of vehicle, chocolate brand, foreign origin shampoo, cloth of 5392 Kilograms in roll shape, , 80,000 liters POL product (High Speed Diesel oil), cigarette lighter of different brands , new tyres with tube for HTV ,used tyres without tubes for cars in different size and origin, new petrol tank cover for motorcycles, foreign origin welding electrodes,60 LCD screens without frames and others .

Miscellaneous lots were unsold due to lack of bidder’s interest in the auction. Deputy Collector Maqbool Ahmad Baloch supervised the whole auction process at Multan Dry Port along with other staff.
