Customs Court seeks progress report against suspects booked in getting delivery of auction goods case

KARACHI: The Customs Court directed investigation officer to complete investigation against suspects namely Muhammad Zaki son of Islamuddin, Adeel Ahmed son of Rasheed Ahmed and Meer Rizwan Ali, who were nominated in a case of getting delivery of auction goods by submitting fake, forged and fabricated documents prepared through forgery of signature.

On 3 December 2019, investigation officer appeared before the court and informed that during the investigation it was revealed that the above mentioned suspects with the active connivance of each other took delivery of three auctions lots/ goods by presenting fake, forged and fabricated document prepared through forgery of signatures.

He submitted that the teams conducted intelligence based raid for recovery of the removal goods, these teams with a lot of dedicating and sleepless work during weekend recovered illegally removed lots of auto parts and S.S Valve from Gul Bai and Motindas Market respectively, another team raided another location near Motindas Market and recovered S.S Valve.

He stated that accused Adeel is working as a clearing agent for auto parts, he was in collusion and is connivance of accused Zaki got illegal delivery of these customs auction lots and sold one lot of copper foil/ strips to a business namely Tahir in Korangi and shifted other two lots in a depository near Gul Bai, Maripur.

He said that they made a deal of another illegally taken auction lot of stainless steel valves with Hanif in connivance with accused Muhammad Zaki, both the accused were made face to face, and in the presence of accused Adeel.

He further argued that during further investigation, it is established that customs auction lots had been removed illegally from Pak Shaheed Container Yard by the accused persons, therefore, case was registered against them and further investigation is underway.
