Multan Adjudication conducts review performance to devise new strategy

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Collector Dr. Akhtar Hussain conducted review performance of the Customs Adjudication to devise new strategy for future.

According to the sources, the meeting was attended by the Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Sumaira Omer and Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication Abdul Mueed Kanjoo.

During the meeting Dr. Akhtar Hussain reviewed the overall performance of Collectorate of Customs Adjudication and direct officials to trial pending seizure cases on priority basis.

He directed the officials to enhance their performance through speedy disposal of the cases coming from different field formations of the Collectorates. He stressed Customs Adjudication Officers to conclude seizure cases as much as possible and discourage unnecessary delay in the trial of cases for their timely disposal.

Collector Customs Adjudication Dr. Akhtar Hussain has asked Officers to adopt same line of action in drafting the judgment of Order-in Original (ONO) which will bring more transparency.

On the occasion, Collector Adjudication was briefed about the cases which have been decided in the first five months of the on-going economic years 2019-20.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Federal Board of Revenue-FBR has recently transferred Dr. Akhtar Hussain from Directorate of Internal Audit Lahore to Collectorate of Customs Adjudication.
