MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Preventive generated Rs.22.9430 million through the public auction of confiscated goods and vehicles lying at the State ware House.
According to details, Multan Customs Collectorate held auction for the disposal of confiscated vehicles and miscellaneous goods and it had done publicity about auction to attract bidders. The auction of confiscated vehicles and miscellaneous goods were carried out at Multan Dry Port Sher Shah.
Multan Customs Preventive sold out only five various vehicles in Rs.6.873 million out of presented ten foreign origin including Mercedes Benz, Daihatsu Cuore, Toyota Hilux Surf, Toyota Land Cruiser, Toyota Passo, Honda Fit Car, Honda Civic, Suzuki Pick Up, Toyota Prius and other confiscated vehicles were offered in the auction.
Five vehicles were rejected in the auction due to fewer prices offered from bidders in auction. Confiscated vehicles offered in the auction were non-customs paid which were impounded by Anti-Smuggling Organization in their different actions from jurisdiction.
Multan Customs sold out different lots ten different lots of miscellaneous goods Rs.16.070 million including tyres, almonds, Rani Juice, High Speed Diesel ,welding rods and others .
Cellular companies were allowed to participate in the bid of Cell phones of different brands only but they have not participated in the bidding. Assistant Collector Fahad Jamil supervised the whole auction of confiscated goods and vehicles at Multan Dry Port to ensure transparency.
