ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Finance has made it clear that process of incorporating a company in Pakistan for a married man or woman is the same.
In a tweet, the ministry rebutted World Bank’s Country Director for Pakistan Illango Patchamuthu’s tweet, and said that there is no additional requirement for a married woman.
The Ministry said married women and men are required to provide same set of information and documents for registration of a company in Pakistan.
There are no additional arequirement for a married woman. Married man or woman are required to provide same set of information/documents for registering a company. CNIC/passport copy is accepted as a proof of a person’s identity (a man or a woman) and for verification of his/her particulars. Application for company incorporation requires same particulars of subscribers/directors/officers, irrespective of gender. A woman subscriber may mention her father or husband name. The same set of particulars are required to be mentioned (by a man or a woman) at the subscriber’s page of Memorandum of Association and articles association and the same is signed by each subscriber in the presence of a witness. This requirement applicable to both; a man or a woman.
