Customs Adjudication decides 394 seizure cases worth Rs826.515m

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication has decided 394 seizure cases worth Rs826.515 million during first seven months (July – January) of on-going fiscal year 2019-20.

These seizure cases were decided by deputy collector, additional collector and collector Customs Adjudication after legal trial. Deputy Collector Abdul Mueed Kanjoo has decided as much as 171 cases of worth Rs105.420 million in the first seven months(July to January) after completion of proceedings of the seizure cases in the Adjudication Customs.

As many as 48 cases of Rs37.056 million are still pending in the Customs Adjudication for final verdict in the Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office.

Additional Collector Saima Omer decided 188 cases of customs duty evasion of worth Rs341.557 million formed by the Customs I&I and Anti-Smuggling Organization in their jurisdiction. Additional Collector Customs Adjudication has decided the maximum number of customs duty evasion cases as compared to deputy collector and collector in the on-going economic year 2019-20.

Collector Adjudication Customs Dr. Akhtar Hussain 35 cases worth Rs379.538 million in the first seven months of the current fiscal year 2019-20.

Almost 22 various seizure cases of Rs263.068 million have been available for trial in the first 10 months of February.

Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has decided the 394  different seizure cases of worth Rs826.515 million in the first seven months of the fiscal year 2019-20. There are 95 seizure cases of Rs350.875 million pending in the customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office for further proceedings.
