KARACHI:  “I was not even a public office holder when NAB started investigating the case. I was seven years old when I became a shareholder of this company,” Bilawal said.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has given Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairperson Bilawal Bhutto two weeks to submit a questionnaire in the Joint Venture Opal 224 case.

The PPP leader appeared before the bureau after being summoned for the third time in the case. NAB recorded the statement of Bilawal and gave him a questionnaire.

Speaking to the media following the court proceedings, the PPP chairman said he was issued the last questionnaire in May of last year. He further said that the bureau had no objections but suddenly he has been issued another.

Bilawal continued that the then chief justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar had stated that Bilawal was innocent. “I was not even a public office holder when NAB started investigating the case. I was seven years old when I became a shareholder of this company. I wrongly believed NAB would not make a case against a child,” he added.
