Multan Preventive generates Rs15.17m through auction of confiscated vehicles & goods

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Preventive generated Rs15.17 million through auction of confiscated goods and vehicles lying at the State ware House.

According to details, Customs Collectorate Preventive conducted auction for the disposal of confiscated vehicles and miscellaneous goods. The auction of confiscated vehicles and miscellaneous goods were carried out at Multan Dry Port Sher Shah.

Multan Customs presented 14 foreign origin confiscated vehicles and sold out 12  different vehicles in Rs12.520 million including four Toyota Vitz ,Toyota Passo, Suzuki Alto, Honda Accord, Alto, Suzuki Swift and others models  in auction. Two vehicles including Toyota Premio and Honda Accord were rejected during bid of auction due to fewer price offered by bidders.

Confiscated vehicles offered in the auction were non-customs paid which were impounded by Anti-Smuggling Organization in their different actions from jurisdiction.

Multan Customs sold out ten different lots of miscellaneous goods Rs2.650 million including raisins, Rani juice, hydraulic cylinder, dishwasher, electric iron, LEDs, power banks, welding rods and others in auction. As many as 35 different lots of miscellaneous goods including glassware crockery, boric acid, plastic resin, used tyres, dried apricot, white cumin seed, almonds, ball bearings, several lots of 180,000 liters POL products and High Speed Diesel, different engines, spare parts, LED Lamps, computer parts, mobile accessories, wrist watch, chocolates, machine made carpets and others were not auctioned due to fewer price offered during bid.

Oil Marketing Companies did not participate in the bid of High Speed Diesel, Petroleum products during auction. Assistant Collector Fahad Jamil supervised the whole auction of confiscated goods and vehicles at Multan Dry Port to ensure transparency.
