NEW YORK: Samsung Galaxy Note 3 users can install Android 4.4.4 KitKat update now.

According to a report, the wireless network carrier in the US has re-released Google’s latest Android KitKat firmware, after the OS update stopped seeding because of the AT&T Address Book issue.

And now, the latest Android 4.4.4 KitKat update for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 brings in fixes for the AT&T Address Book bug as well as a new design fix.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was the South Korean tech titan’s ‘phablet’ offering in 2013. The phablet, as noted on GSM Arena, originally came with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and then became upgradable to Android 4.4.2 KitKat update. Google’s latest OS, the Android 5.0 Lollipo update will also roll out on the device soon, but for now, AT&T users with Samsung Galaxy Note 3 can enjoy the newest KitKat build available.

Reportedly, the firmware comes with version number N900AUCUDNL1 and its build number is JSS15J.N900AUCUDNL1.

Those who are eager to install Android 4.4.4 KitKat update on AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 3 should check the smartphone’s notification. The firmware can be accessed via Over-The-Air update service. Once the notification for the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update arrives for the AT&T Note 3, users can simply confirm the download. Afterwards, tap the Install Now option for the actual installation process to commence.

Make sure as well that the phone has enough battery to avoid power interruption issues that might happen in the middle of the update process. It is recommended that the Galaxy Note 3 has at least 80 percent battery level before upgrading the OS to Android 4.4.4 KitKat.

Some of the features to expect in the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update are Kids Mode, Camera enhancement, Knox 2.0, Safety Assistance and Side Sync 3.0.
