LCCI FG holds networking dinner, discusses trade&  economy

LAHORE; Founders Group of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry organized a networking dinner on Friday at a local hotel in honor of market leaders, leaders of the Group, former presidents and executive committee members.

On the occasion, Chairman Founder Group Tariq Hameed briefly highlighted the importance of business community, resources and capabilities of Pakistan, economic challenges, regional trade export promotion.

The Group leaders said that Pakistan is enriched with all resources and it has the potential to flourish economically but all that required is to identify the right direction.

They said that there is a dire need to increase exports for economic stability of Pakistan, he said and added that for this purpose, we should not only focus on the regional countries but we should also make our space in non-traditional markets. They said that special incentives should be given to the export-oriented industries so that they could be competitive in international market.

The Founders Group leaders said that for industrial sector, utility prices should be reduced and one window operation facility should be provided in order to ensure ease in doing businesses. They said that all factors which are hindering the industrial development and exports of Pakistan should be eliminated.

They said that the government should accept the genuine demands of the traders regarding taxation to ensure business.
