The Anti-Benami Zone-III had sufficient reason to believe that the land at plot No I67C and Plot No 168C’ commercial area Block No 2 PECHS is benami property.

The authorities of the Anti-Benami Zone-III opined that the said property may be alienated during the course of proceedings to avoid the lawful procedure for the treatment of benami property.

In exercise of powers of the Benami Transaction prohibition Act 2017, the FBR provisionally attached land plot No I67C and 168C commercial area Block No 2, PECHS.

The property will remain attached until instructions from Benami Transactions Adjudicating Authority, Islamabad  and Muhammad Yaseen and Kashif Hasan or anyone else has been prohibited and restrained until further orders from transferring of the immoveable property or subjecting the same to a charge in any manner.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Anti-Benami Initiative Zone-III, Karachi has so far attached 101 benami assets including properties and shares worth Rs14 billion. Overall , the three anti-benami initiative zones have attached 146 assets worth Rs31 billion across Pakistan.
