MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement and Compliance has constituted three members local risk management committee (LR&MC).
Director Risk Management Custom Karachi Saif-ud-Din Junejo has asked Multan Customs Enforcement and Compliance to nominate three officials from the Collectorate for the formation of local risk management committee.
The customs authorities apply the risk management system to determine goods, vehicles of international transport, documents and persons subject to customs control, forms of customs control applied to such goods, vehicles of international transport, documents and persons, and the degree of customs control during operations.
The main objectives of the risk management system are to ensure that the competence of the customs authorities, measures to protect national (state) security, human life and health, environmental protection. It will also focus on areas of increased risk and ensuring more efficient use of available resources of Customs. The local risk management also identify, forecasting and prevention of violations of the customs legislation.
The risk management committee also Collects and process all existing information from various sources about goods and vehicles transported across the jurisdiction. It also focuses on implementation of risk management measures in routine operations.
The local risk management committee will be headed by Collector (E & C) Multan Customs Fayaz Anwar. Multan Customs Collectorate constituted three members Committee comprised of Additional Collector-I Syed Ali Abbas Gardezi, Deputy Collector MCC (E & C) Multan Amjad Aman and Inspector Anti-Smuggling Organization(E & C) Multan Ahmad Bin Sohail.
