Multan Adjudication adjourns hearings of all seizure cases for two weeks

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has adjourned hearings of all seizure cases for two weeks to avoid outspread of corona virus.

Collectorate of Customs Adjudication has issued notification for adjournments of proceedings of all seizure cases due to spread of corona virus.

Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication Abdul Mueed Kanjoo informed Customs Today that all cases are adjourned for two weeks.

He said that whole world is facing crisis due to current global damages caused by serious threat and continuous growing of the corona virus in the world. Now even in our country Pakistan it is getting an epidemic shape due to its outspread and there is no treatment or method of cure has been formed. Unfortunately there is only a single method has been adopted over the world to prevent its spreading that is to avoid human contacts in general.

He further said that federal and provincial governments have taken serious measures to address its spreading and imposed ban on public gatherings, closure of the educational institutes, restaurants, cinemas, amusement parks and even shopping malls.

Moreover judicial authorities have also decided for temporarily closure of the proceedings to reduce it to minimal.

Due to fear and apprehensions of Corona virus spread Deputy Collector Abdul Mueed Kanjoo issued special instructions to Customs Adjudication on the direction of Collector Dr.Akhtar Hussain that all cases pending and other proceedings should be adjourned for at  least two weeks immediately due to lock down situation.
