Multan Customs to adopt precautionary measures to contain corona virus

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs (Enforcement and Compliance) has adopted special precautionary against corona virus (COVID-19).

Deputy Collector Headquarter Amjad Aman directed to implement special precautionary measures to curb corona virus in line with Federal Board of Revenue circular E.No1(2)S & M/2020 and direction issued by Ministry of Interiors with immediate effect and until further orders.

The Collectorate has decided to cut down the number of employees by at least 40 percent initially for the next two weeks and onwards if necessary. Multan Customs directed employees above 50 years of age may be allowed to work from homes except those employees whose presence is unavoidable for smooth functioning of the official business.

Multan Customs has also allowed female staff (mothers) to work from their homes to avoid outspread of Corona virus.

Those employees who are suffering from flu, fever or carrying medical history of frequent chest infections, asthma, cardiac related problems or any other disease allowed to work from their homes.

Deputy Collector Headquarter has also directed employees to keep all doors and windows of offices remain open for ventilation to avoid any sort of physical contact with doors handlers/knobs. All employees should ensure social distancing in their respective wings to avoid spread of corona virus.

Employees are also directed to take their personal prayer mats or any other clean cloth while offering prayer in Customs House mosque.

Assistant Collectors and Deputy Collectors are advised to strategize and take decision for implementation of precautionary measures to contain Corona Virus in their respective formation accordingly.
