FBR directs RTO Multan to complete sales tax refunds process till April 20

MULTAN: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) sought comprehensive report from chief commissioner Regional Tax Office for issuance of sales tax refunds.

Secretary Revenue Budget Sultan Muhammad Nawaz Nasir has directed all chief commissioner Inland Revenue of field formations including RTO Multan to submit report about completion of sales tax refunds process.

The Federal Board of Revenue has Regional Tax Office Multan that sales tax refunds process was required to be completed by the end of this week but it still remains inconclusive.

The Federal Board of Revenue has directed all regional tax offices to complete process of sales tax refunds by the end of this week 20th April 2020.

The Federal Board of Revenue has directed all processing officer to speed up the process of sales tax refunds for early disbursement and no processing officer shall be allowed to take any leave until the process complete.

Government has announced relief package implementation for business community to support manufacturers in wake of COVID 19 and directed all chief commissioners of the field formations to complete the exercise of the sale tax refunds process before  April 20, 2020 even if extended working hours are required including observance of Saturday & Sunday as working days.
