Multan Adjudication decides 37 seizure cases worth Rs101.772m

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office finalized 37 seizure cases of worth Rs101.772 million during the month of March 2019-20.

According to the details, Customs Adjudication has carried out hearing of different seizure cases for their trial during March 2019-20.

Customs Adjudication collector, additional collector and deputy collector conducted trial of these seizure cases according to their sanctioned power to adjudicate cases as per their rank and amount of duties and taxes involved against in seized goods or vehicles.

These seizure cases were detected by Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation and Multan Anti-Smuggling Organization in their different actions.

Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication Abdul Mueed Kanjoo has concluded 23 seizure cases of worth Rs17.121 million during March. Deputy Collector decided one seizure case in favour of taxpayer after completion of hearing.

As many as 26 seizure cases of worth Rs13.535 million have been added for trial in the period of March of the on-going economic year 2019-20.

Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Sumaira Umer decided 9 seizure cases which involved revenue of Rs18.751 million for the period of March.

Additional Collector has decided all seizure cases in favour of Customs department after conclusion of trial on the basis of existing evidences.

As many as 8 fresh seizure cases of Rs17.960 million were added in the court of Additional Collector Customs Adjudication in March for trial.

Collector Adjudication Dr.Ahtar Hussain has finalized almost 5 seizure cases of worth Rs.65.900 million after completion of trial during March.  Collector Customs Adjudication decided all seizure cases in the favour of Customs department after completion of trial. As many as 7 various seizure cases of Rs.76.100 million detected by Customs Preventive and Customs Intelligence  were  added for trial in the month of March .

The hearing schedule of seizure cases at Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office disturbed due to pandemic Corona Virus and Customs Adjudication cancels all hearing for two weeks.
