Payment of duty, taxes through PD accounts for GDs can be made after ten days: KCCA

KARACHI: Karachi Customs Agents Association (KCCA) announced that a CRF initiated and the WeBOC project has deployed a module in the system which will allow payment of duty and taxes through PD account as well for Goods Declaration after prescribed period of ten days.

A statement issued by KCCA stated that members are hereby informed that another milestone has been achieved by Karachi Customs Agents Association, regarding the unavailability of option to pay duty and taxes from PD account in case of late filing of Goods Declaration after the prescribed period of ten days as per Section 79 of Customs Act 1969.

Currently duty and taxes are being paid through Pay Orders at NBP and E-payment for Goods Declarations that were marked for IGM De-blocking.

Now with the sincere efforts of KCAA a CRF was initiated and the WeBOC Project has deployed a module in the system which will allow payment of duty and taxes through PD Account as well for Goods Declaration filed after the prescribed period of ten days along with the option of bank and e-payment.
