Customs ASO seizes 28kg hashish near Motorway Toll Plaza

ISLAMABAD: Collecorate of Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) seized 28 kilogram of chars and arrested two drug traffickers who belonged to KPK.

Sources told Customs Today that Collector Seema Raza Bokhari received credible information about smuggling of narcotics. She immediately directed Assistant Collector Rao Fahd to take necessary measure to foil any attempt of narcotics smuggling.

Rao Fahd Assistant Collector constituted anti-smuggling squad under the supervision of Superintendent Abid Malak who established check post near Motorway Toll Plaza, the ASO squad intercepted a suspicious ambulance bearing name plate No IE-681 and signal it to stop but the driver of vehicle ignored the signal of ASO squad and geared up the vehicle but after little chasing the ASO intercepted the vehicle.

During search of the vehicle the anti-smuggling squad found huge quantity of chars (garda).

The vehicle was brought into Customs house where after thoroughly checking the ASO found 28 kilogram of chars (gards) in worth of millions.

The raiding team was comprising Abid Malik Superintendent Customs, Inspector Shafiq and staff while two accused named Muhammad Hussain and Ibrahim belong to Kohat were also arrested, the case has been registered while for other investigation the case has been forward to I&P (Investigation and Prosecution) department for further action.
