Mis-declaration: Collector Seema Bokhari lodges FIR against M/s Capital Cargo Service

ISLAMABAD: Collectorate of Customs Colector Seema Raza Bokhari has lodged FIR against M/s Capital Cargo Service for misusing M/s Agha Khan Foundation’s name for clearance goods.

According to show cause notice issued by the Collector Adjudication Adnan Akram said that the Customs Collectorate has lodged an FIR (first information report) no.19/2020 against M/s Capital Cargo Service customs clearing agent for involvement in illegal clearance of goods by mis-declaration in the name of M/s Agha Khan Foundation who was filed complaint for misusing their name for illegal clearance.

The M/s Capital Cargo service Islamabad CHA license No.01/91 have violated the provision Section 155F of the Customs Act 1969, it stated that M/s Capital Cargo Service failed to comply with the condition of registration imposed by the Collector under sub section (3) 155F of Customs Act, the Collector of Customs imposed the said section in exceptional circumstances.

According to show cause after recording reasons in writing suspended the use of unique user identifier of any person forthwith on receipt of any complaint or information about violation of any provision of this act whereas the Collector of Customs shall after giving opportunity of hearing, pass and order conforming suspension or otherwise the use of unique user identifier.

The Collector of Adjudication quoted via show cause that “now therefore in exercise of powers conferred upon me under Section 155F of the Customs Act 1969, M/s Capital Cargo Service Customs Clearing Agent New International airport Islamabad is hereby called upon to show cause within 7 days of the issuance of this notice as to why your WeBOC (web based one customs) system user ID should not be permanently suspended under section of 155F.

The Collector Adjudication has been asked the accused to provide all evidence documentary or otherwise in your support or defense along with written explanation within 07 days of failing otherwise case will be decided on basis of evidence available.
