Ford’s auction of 2015 Shelby GT 350 Mustang to provide thrill & extract funds for JDRF

NEW YORK: The very first unit of Ford’s 2015 Shelby GT 350 Mustang will be placed on a public auction to benefit its charitable cause on January 17, 2015.

Ford quips that the Shelby GT 350 will come with the Lot No. 3008 and the auction coincides with the 50th golden anniversary of the Shelby GT350 Mustang.

The North America car marketing manager for Ford, Steve Ling, has stated that the Shelby GT350 doesn’t only capable of providing thrill and excitement but it is also world-class car. Ling added that the car is built with an all-new independent suspension (first time for the Shelby), potent engine and excellent brakes. And just like the GT350 that was first whipped up five decades ago, the new performance variant of the renowned Mustang is cinched to deliver optimum performance and will continue to set the trend in terms of innovation.

The newly fangled Shelby GT350 has been unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show and decks in a 5.2-liter V-8 that yields up to more than 500 hp. This implies that this superb muscle car can be driven everyday and can plunge into racing action every weekend.

The proceeds of the auction will help JDRF a charitable organization that is committed on funding type 1 diabetes research endeavours.

Craig Jackson, CEO of Barrett-Jackson Auctions has said that his firm’s partnership with Ford already have piled up millions of dollars to funnel in essential funds for local and national charitable institutions for the past many years. Jackson added that auctioning of the new Shelby GT350 will provide thrill and excitement and the same time extract funds for the JDRF.
