24/7 opening of business must to boom economy: LCCI

LAHORE: The Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry has welcomed the Punjab government’s decision to allow all industries, factories and businesses related to the construction sector to operate 24 hours, 7 days a week with the Standard Operating Procedures.  The LCCI President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, Senior Vice President Ali Hussam Asghar and Vice President Mian Zahid Jawaid Ahmad said that the demand of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry and government deserves appreciation for opening industries, factories and business related to the construction sector.

“It would enhance industrial production, help daily wagers to earn bread & butter for their families, boost the economy and would lift exports”, the LCCI office-bearers said.

They said that that would help the revival of the  business community who was in deep trouble and was facing a severe financial crunch due to lockdown and closure of their businesses.  The office-bearers of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry said that opening of businesses would reduce the miseries of the business community.

They said that the business community is the backbone of the economy and is playing a great role in providing employment to the people and revenue to the government.
