He said that the DEPO was taking several steps for the manufacture and promotion of defense products in Pakistan and abroad. He said that the efforts of the Rawalpindi Chamber in organizing the Webinar were commendable. The proposal of Rawalpindi Chamber for setting up of Expo Center in Rawalpindi/Islamabad is workable and we support it.

In his brief address on the occasion, RCCI President Saboor Maik said that the purpose of this webinar was to provide an opportunity to exhibitors and visitors to explore the investment opportunities and facilities available in the defense products sector. Through B2B meetings this also gives an opportunity to get important information regarding import and export.

Group leader Sohail Altaf said the DEPO was playing an important role in promoting small businesses. Exports can be increased by providing incentives to the private sector, he added. Chairman Pakistan Hunting and Sporting Arms Zahidullah Shinwari briefed the participants on the products of his company. Chairman Rawal Expo Nasir Mirza briefed the participants about Virtual Rawal Expo which will continue till August 16. Online platform for virtual expo is available in seven different languages. More than 11 defense attachés posted in different countries also attended the Webinar.
