Govt to provide digital banking facility to overseas Pakistanis

ISLAMABAD: Government has decided to provide digital banking facility to overseas Pakistani for the first time in history of the country.

According to the new facility, overseas Pakistanis will be able to make direct banking payments and investments. Consultations with State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and other commercial banks have been completed in this regard.

The facility will also enable users to get benefit from fix deposit products of banks and make direct transaction for buying residential and commercial property.

Overseas Pakistanis, while having an option of opening account in Pakistani rupee or foreign currency, will also be able to withdraw their investment without any prior notice.
