Multan Customs seizes 5000 litres of HSD oil near DG Khan

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement & Compliance (E&C) has seized non-customs paid 5000 litres of High-Speed Diesel during operation near Rakhi Gaaj Dera Ghazi Khan.

Sources told Customs Today that Anti-Smuggling Organization received credible information that oil tanker loaded with smuggled High-Speed Diesel will moved from Quetta region to Dera Ghazi Khan.

Deputy Collector Amjad Aman formed special team of Anti-Smuggling Organization to intercept smuggled High-Speed Diesel. Anti-smuggling team formed under the supervision of Inspector Asif Rafique.

Anti-smuggling squad started patrolling of suspected routes and seized the suspected oil tanker filled with High Speed Diesel.

During detailed examination of vehicle, customs staff found that oil tanker was filled with 5,000 litres High Speed Diesel (HSD) oil and driver was asked to produce import documents of said petroleum and its oil tanker.

Driver of said oil tanker failed to produce any legal documents of the said High Speed Diesel and customs team seized the oil tanker with filled HSD and formed seizure report against non-customs paid Oil Tanker and recovered High Speed Diesel.

The net worth of seized HSD Rs1.5 million and value of oil tanker was almost Rs2.5 million. Further proceedings are still underway till the filing of this report.
